Hej Medical Robot Concept

Unlike other illnesses, mental illnesses cannot be diagnosed based on statistics or scientific facts. It needs to connect with the patient and understand their situation and emotions to make the right diagnosis and treatment.
To do this, it's important to take care of your own mind. Only when your own mind is healthy can you take care of the minds of others.

Psychiatric ward nurses are bombarded with numerous administrative tasks, including constant handoffs and real-time charting, leaving little time to take care of themselves. Among them, charting is one of the most important tasks, as it requires them to record everything that happens in real time.
Hej takes over the administrative tasks of psychiatric ward nurses, giving them more time to recharge.

Rather than adding new robots to the psychiatric ward, we wanted to replace the medical carts that already existed. It can hold various instruments and medications that nurses need to carry on their rounds.
Cell phone charger cables are also a hazard in psychiatric wards, where strings are not allowed due to the risk of self-harm by patients. By placing phones and peripherals on top of Hej's head or anywhere else in the space, they can be used as wireless charging pads.
DAR Charting

An acronym for Data, Action, and Response, it focuses on the person's problems and needs.
The key to DAR charting is to write the facts as you observe them. No subjective interpretation or speculation by the nurse is allowed; only objective facts should be stated.

Hej uses AI deep learning to recognize and analyze situations to automatically create and record charts. The TrueDepth cameras of Hej are always looking in all directions, recognizing objects and situations.
It also learns the appearance of people to differentiate between patients for specific charting.
If detailed information is needed, such as what medication was administered, a display on the side of the robot allows the nurse to record it instantly and correct any incorrect information. It's much more efficient and accurate than the traditional method of handwriting and entering it into the system.
Often observing bedridden patients, Hej is designed to be about 1.2 meters tall, which is slightly higher than a medical bed.
Hej's wheels are ball-type, so it moves naturally on any path.

Hej follows the nurses on rounds with them, always checking off everything they need to chart.
Behavioral prediction algorithms powered by AI deep learning immediately alert caregivers when an *act-out is expected and immediately alert all caregivers on the unit when an act-out occurs. These prediction algorithms work together across Hej systems around the world to learn faster.

*Acting out: The Impulsive violent behavior by a mentally ill patient.
Emergency Stop

How should the robot have an emergency stop button in a psychiatric ward environment?
A way to prevent patients from stopping the robot at will, but allow medical staff to stop it at any time, was to utilize a card key, which all medical staff have.
You can stop Hej instantly by lightly inserting the card key.
